  • 8 oz penne
  • 2 cups ham
  • 1.5 cups frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup grated parmesan
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

    Boil the penne in salted water until al dente, about 10 minutes, adding the frozen peas for the last 2 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.

    Meanwhile, dice the ham and brown it in the butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat, 4 minutes, adding the minced garlic at the end.
