  • 4 slices bread
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 cups chicken stock
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

    Peel and quarter the potatoes, cover with cold salted water in a pot, and boil 15 minutes until fork tender.
