French Onion Beef Sliders 🧅
Savory ground beef and sweet caramelized onions smothered in Swiss and baked into buttery sliders, French onion soup in sandwich form.
Ingredients (serves 6)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 onions
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 8 slices bread
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

Slice the onions thin and cook in 2 tbsp butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes until deep golden. Set aside.

Brown the ground beef in the same skillet over medium-high, breaking it up, about 6 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.

Stir in the onions, beef stock, and Worcestershire and simmer 3 minutes until glossy.

Heat the oven to 350°F. Cut the bread into slider-size squares and layer half in a 9x13 dish. Top with the beef mixture, Swiss, and the remaining bread.

Brush the tops with the remaining melted butter, cover with foil, and bake 12 minutes, then uncover for 5 minutes until golden.
