Teriyaki Pork Chops 🥩
Glazed pork chops with a sweet-savory teriyaki coating that caramelizes beautifully-tender, juicy, and on the table in 25 minutes.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 4 pork chops
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 scallions
- 1 tsp cornstarch

Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove to a plate.

Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds.

Whisk together soy sauce, mirin, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water. Pour into the skillet and simmer for 1 minute, stirring often.

Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon sauce over them. Cook for 1-2 minutes until glazed.

Garnish with sliced scallions and serve with steamed broccoli and rice.
