Glazed Ham with Honey Mustard 🍖
A showstopper ham glazed with spiced honey and Dijon mustard, caramelized to burnished perfection and sliced thick for Sunday suppers.
Ingredients (serves 8)
- 1 bone-in ham (8 lbs)
- 1 cup honey
- 6 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups water
- 30 whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon salt

Preheat oven to 325°F. Score the ham skin in a crosshatch pattern, cutting about 1/4 inch deep.

Place ham cut-side down in a roasting pan. Add water to the bottom of the pan.

Cover tightly with foil and roast for 60 minutes.

Mix honey, mustard, vinegar, paprika, ginger, and pepper in a bowl to make the glaze.

Remove foil and insert cloves into the scored diamonds. Brush the glaze generously over the ham.

Roast uncovered for 20 more minutes, brushing with glaze every 5 minutes until caramelized.
